Our dear friends stayed here for five nights and LOVED it at Wanda’s place. We visited them at least once a day and shared several meals while enjoying spectacular views of the cove and harbor from their panoramic upper story windows. The apartment was ample and well-appointed with a well-equipped kitchen. My wife and I would stay there ourselves at the drop of a hat!

We were gifted with a 6 night stay by my Sister and Brother in law. We had the green roof lodge all to ourselves. It was beyond beautiful and so relaxing. There is a view from every room, and everything you could need. Bathrooms and Kitchen were fully stocked. The only thing you need is your own fresh meats and veggies. We were just there, so there were no large cruise ships in town, but it was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of in town. I would highly recommend this option for future visits.

We had a group of 10 staying in this lodge and we fit perfectly. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is really nice too. The views from the deck are amazing. As well as the kitchen stocked with all the supplies you would need for all your own cooking.

This was the best rental property I’ve ever stayed in!! The place is super clean!! The kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked with way more than you could ever need! The common areas are cozy and comfy. But honestly, the view is the best part. You have a 3 sided porch to enjoy the views. The forested area is right outside to door. The ocean view from the porch area and inside are stunning! Even if it’s raining it’s breathtaking!! Close to the docks if your renting boats or planning to fish. This house is so incredible! Don’t miss your opportunity to stay here. You won’t find a better cared for, equipped or beautiful place to stay.

Wanda was such a gracious host when my husband and I rented her Knudson Cove Lodge to experience Ketchikan with a group of our friends. She properly communicated everything prior to and during our trip. She was always available, if/when needed. The rental home was very clean, spacious and fully stocked with the comforts of home away from home. WiFi and different options for TV/movie watching were great at night. Being right on the cove was perfect for our fishing/crabbing days as well as views. We booked the bottom unit. There are beds everywhere and a big kitchen with a giant dining table. It had all the supplies that we could possibly need and was great for a big group. Both decks got a lot of use. It was quiet and had a nice view of Knudson Cove. The location could not have been better. It’s near some great beaches, hiking trails, and lakes. Most importantly, it’s away from the congestion of the cruise ship tourists but is an easy drive back into town. A rental car would be necessary to stay here, but that would be the only thing you’d need.

Almost Home is a great name for this property, because hosts Wanda and Darrell have added so many thoughtful and helpful details! The apartment we stayed in was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was lovely and well-maintained, without being at all fussy or overly modern. The beds and linens were perfect–we slept great! The staples provided in the kitchen were thoughtfully selected and of good quality. And the instructions for arrival and departure were clear and easy to follow. We stayed at this beautiful home for 10 days. It has everything you could want or need to have a great Alaskan Adventure! Darrell and Wanda are wonderful hosts who make sure that your stay is comfortable and memorable. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and the view is amazing! There is a lot to do nearby — hiking, boating, and adventuring!

Part of my family and I came for Christmas to be with the other part of the family and stayed in the 5 bedroom house. The house was better than the pictures could ever show and we had everything we needed. We have lots of space and then our own private space in the rooms, it was absolutely wonderful!! I loved the house and hope to be able to come stay again. Best almost home stay I have ever had!

Fantastic place to stay. I worked at Peace Health as a traveler. I was very pleased with everything. Stayed from January to April. Quiet, great views. Right next to Knudson Cove. Wanda is a excellent host. The pictures you see are accurate. 🙂 Enjoy!!!

I am a local of Ketchikan. My family stayed in the lower unit 3 bedroom rental for just over a week. We were staying here not for vacation but just for a temporary stay while we purchased a home. First, this place is just so lovely. Charming. The view is outstanding. The host is really one of the sweetest kindest people I have met. There is plenty of parking and you have everything you need stocked for the most part. My husband loved being able to view the boats in the Marina and Im pretty sure he wanted to stay here permanently. Fishing everyday! Easy access to fish cleaning stations down at the Marina within walking distance. Quiet area, we did see a bear strolling down the street one morning! Lots of Eagles! Thank you for the wonderful, peaceful stay.

This place is wonderful filled with everything you can think of, even for tea drinkers! It easily held myself and five grandchildren who gave every bed in the place their stamp of approval. There was much happiness in the younger ones who had never had a full size bed to themselves before and slept like spread out starfish. The owner is one of the most helpful people I have ever come across in an away from home stay. We highly recommend this home and hope to return on a regular basis.

We stayed in the one-bedroom unit, it was clean and comfortable. The suite was stalked with supplies as advertised. The view is beautiful. We would stay there again.

What a delightful week we had staying in the 1-bedroom upper unit–I could live there forever! Wanda is a wonderful hostess, providing absolutely everything you could possibly need in this beautiful, bright unit with a fantastic view of Knudson Cove. The location was ideal–only a 5-minute walk to the Southeast Exposure adventure outfitters dock. My sister and I could walk and grab kayaks there at any time and go explore the waterfalls, sea stars, islands, jumping fish, and eagles everywhere. We also enjoyed their zodiac boats and fun zip line! Such a quiet, serene little marina/cove to enjoy only a 25-minute drive from the center of town. We will be returning next summer!

We had everything there we needed for our fishing and bear hunt trip to Ketchikan. House was great and beautiful view of marina. Owner was very helpful.

My sister and I have stayed in the 1-bedroom unit two summers in a row and absolutely LOVE it! Such a perfect, cozy, remodeled, quiet place that I could live in all summer! The unit has two very comfortable beds, everything you need, plenty of space, a beautiful view of Knudsen Cove, eagles everywhere, and a short walk to where we grab kayaks and go paddling.
