She and her late husband, Darrell, arrived in Alaska in 1975 and eventually settled in Ketchikan, where they started Almost Home in 1986 with a single apartment for visiting fishermen. That one property grew into a full collection of homes—including Knudson Cove Retreat, and Knudson Cove Lodge—each furnished with everything guests need to feel truly at home.
Today, Wanda continues the warmth and care she and Darrell built into every stay and invites you to come experience the Alaska she’s always called home.
